A Bit About Me
My love for the written word—and improving it—started at a young age. I was born into a family of readers and took to books with ferocity that made my parents proud. As a child, I started pointing out grammar errors in newsletters sent home from my teachers and had a habit of taking a red pen to the local newspaper to correct typos.
It felt only natural to make my love for writing and editing into a career, so I received a bachelor’s degree in English language with a minor in editing. After undergrad I pursued a master’s degree in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College.
For nearly a decade, I’ve worked in traditional publishing while also freelancing, and I have experience with self-help, psychology, lifestyle nonfiction, genre fiction, and memoir. No matter the genre, my priority is always to help authors develop their project into the best version of itself. I view the editorial process as a collaborative partnership between editor and author with both of us working together toward a shared goal.
When not buried in books—whether trying in vain to cut down my personal TBR list or digging deep into a manuscript edit—you can often find me creating elaborate backstories for my pets, working on one of my many in-progress crochet projects, or binge watching Schitt’s Creek (again).
